ROCKFORD WOMAN

Feb 21, 2008 @ 12:01 AM

In reading Rockford Woman, we were inspired to write about Josephine F. Lane, 64, a “Good Ol’ Fashioned Mom.”

She is a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and best friend. She has had many jobs throughout her lifetime -- and she can totally multi-task!

My mother is the grandmother of every child’s dreams. She currently works for a family of working physicians. She recently worked for a family in Caledonia for the past five years, taking care of housekeeping tasks as well as their two young children. Prior to that, she cared for the late Mrs. Joesphine May of Rockford until she passed on in November 2002. My mother has had many other responsibilities. But what she does best is maintain the key to cleanliness/housekeeping and being the best mom ever!

I am my mother’s only child, next to her dog, JoJo, and her life link, my dad.

My mom has been an inspiration in my life and has encouraged me to do better each and every day. I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for my mom, yet she never gave up on me and my three children. She has three grandchildren whom she totally lives and works for each day -- Garrett, Abigail, and Emma Katherine. They ALL love Ya-Ma!

Thanks for giving me life and especially thanks for being my mom.
