What it is: The Rockford Park District, the second largest municipal park system in Illinois, has its hands in a variety of activities all year long. “It’s the first place that I check to find out about upcoming events, to get information on tennis lessons and to learn what classes are available for kids and adults,” said Michelle Brown, a part-time legal secretary at Reno & Zahm LLP. “It’s easy to navigate and has convenient links to appropriate sites.
